Since this is a cropped-ish top, I originally bought a Medium. But it was more than just oversized on me, especially in the armpits. (If you’re busty, the fit might be true to size, but it wasn’t for me.) I returned that and got a Small. The Small is fashionably roomy in the right places, and looks super-cute on! The material is thick (which I love) and comfortable. It’s also warm enough to wear as a lightweight jacket on a mildly cool day. For me, it’s a little too bulky to wear under a normal jacket or coat. It’s OK under a loose raincoat or overcoat.
